I found Sophie's story on face book and thought I would check it out. You did a nice job telling Sophie's story and she is a cutie. My daughter, Abby died March 10 of this year of MELAS. She would have been 9 on April 16. Our stories are similar, although Abby did not progress so quickly and had about 7 years of a pretty normal life, but we eventually did go through all of the same medical stuff you have. We have a website for her, but I am updating since her death. You have done a wonderful job as her parents. Continue to keep the hope. That is what kept us going. Take care and best wishes for Sophie. Beth

Your Sophie looks just gorgeous. I have been searching the internet for infrmation as we lost our little boy Kahleh at the end of last year to what we think is a mitochondrial disease, he was 8 months old. You sound like you both have wonderful attitudes and i wish you the most wonderful, beautiful, happy moments with Sophie.

LOVE the portaites! you all look gorgeous- Yes, even you Neil(!) Sophie is growing so fast. Must be all that love and the Baby Bio you stick her feet in. I love her new wheels; she looks so comfy. I imagine her brain is doing over-time with all the new things she can see. The forum looks great and, to the un-trained eye, very complicated. Well done Neil. Sending you all lots of love from Aylesbury, Louise, Chris & Alexis And BIG Christmas kisses for Sophie X
